Vera Lansink

Vera LansinkSoprano Vera Lansink completed her conservatoire studies with Mya Besselink in Maastricht, before completing her performance diploma in opera at the Sweelinck Conservatoire in Amsterdam with Cora Canne Meyer.

After her formal studies, she continued her training with Aafje Heynis and Charlotte Margiono. She has sung in a great many operas in Holland and abroad, in such roles as Pamina in Zauberflöte, Micaela in Carmen, Lauretta in Gianni Schicci and Maria in West Side Story. She has built up a broad repertoire of music from the baroque period to contemporary, performing the work of composers from J.S. Bach to Ligeti.

Vera Lansink has appeared as a soloist in ensembles such as The Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Combattimento Consort Amsterdam , Capella Figuralis, Radio Kamerorkest, Kölner Kammerorchester, Brabants Orkest, Limburgs Symfonie Orkest en Orkest van het Oosten.

She has worked with conductors such as Ton Koopman, Frans Bruggen, Kenneth Montgomery, Simon Preston, Julian Reynolds, Ed Spanjaard, Jos van Veldhoven en Jan Willem de Vriend. She is a member of Ton Koopman’s Amsterdam Baroque Choir. Together with pianist Hanna Devich she formed a duo in order to perform 18th and 19th century arias and lieder, as well as songs by Gerswin,Bernstein, and Cole Porter. Vera Lansink can be heard on many radio, television and CD recordings.
